Managed to get the game running at least once using the default ADF variant.ģ) Became interested in how to get the game running through WHDLoad v1.0. Repro, as best as I can recall:ġ) Downloaded FS-UAE with files for the game on local HDD, wasn’t familiar with how to start so I created a Config named WarInMiddleEarth.Ģ) Found out how to register and sync to the online game database, at which point my WarInMiddleEarth Config showed up alongside the War In Middle Earth game entry from the database. This is just one of the many CD32 compilation discs available.I’ve (permanently?) lost an entry, War In Middle Earth, from my Games list (synced from the online database) in FS-UAE on Windows 10, not sure how it happened or how to get it back, even after uninstalling & reinstalling the program. Here are some screen shots you really should have a play with it. The ISOS were put together by people who did all the hard work patching the older games to run.

That's the beauty of the CD32 is was 'set hardware' like a console, everyone had the same specifications (ignoring the exotic upgrade options). Yes you could go down the HD path (create an Amiga HD partiton in UAE) and install all the games with WHD load but that's pretty time consuming and I for one don't want to start mucking about with Workbench again and installing all those patches and menu programs to make Workbench look nice and work well. OR the hold down both mouse buttons on boot up to turn off fastmem? (I think). I remember back in the day on real hardware the A1200 would need a special boot disk "relokick" to run ECS games and even then with limited success. Hewitson wrote:Honestly don't understand whats so difficult about using a proper Amiga emulator.įor someone familiar with the Amiga there really is no difficulty.īut you gotta admit it is so much easier when you don't have to worry about disk swapping or changing between ECS and AGA. Run the "launcher" select CD32 as the system, select the iso file location and GO! No farting around with scripts or kickstarts. Windows Installer for FS-UAE Emulator & Launcherįs-uae-2.0.1-setup.exe (I'm assuming you have a Windows PC) I have the following and they are great, basically a couple hundred of the best Amiga games all neatly packaged with a menu system for the Amiga CD32 system.

Get your hands on the "Amiga CD32 multigame" iso's (google) Now I have a long history with the Amiga in fact the A1200 was my first 'internet' computer.īUT getting Amiga emulators to work is no fun especially when you are helping friends/noobs who just want to play games and know nothing about AGA, ECS, kickstart roms, disk swapping, fastmem etc.ĪNYWAY in my opinion this is the best way to go. This is so awesomely simple I almost cried.
